Oh Brother! Another eReader

Brother Industries announced on July 15, 2008 that they developed a thin A5 sized e-Viewer.

Their news release showed the following spec list:

- Display :
- Size : 9.7" (142.1 x 205.5 mm)
- Resolution : 1200 x 825 (Mono, 4 gray scale)
- Electronic Paper (Electrophoretic)
- CPU :
- 32bit, 132MHz
- External Memory :
- MMC card 1GB (for 5,000 pages)
- Power supply :
- Li-Ion Battery (charged by AC adaptor or USB Bus power)
- Battery capacity :
- 3,000 times rewrite, or 1 month stand-by for 1 charge
- External dimensions :
- 210(W) x 232(H) x 12.4(T) mm
- Weight :
- 380g (including battery)

Brother plans to exhibit the prototype at their private show held on September 4th.
