OLEDs are coming

Display manufacturers are also revving their engines before the SID 2008 conference.

Here Samsung talks about a 12.1" OLED display based laptop they will be showing...

Nice...

I've been sure for some time OLEDs are going to take the LCD market by storm, even faster than most people I talk to predict.

I'm holding my breath still for a sweet OLED-based iPhone, that I'm sure is lurking behind their "Mostly black" UI, designed to take advantage of the fact that OLED's consume power based on how much light each pixels generate (unlike LCD's where power consumptions is dominated by the back-light).
