One of the content types potentially interesting for an eReader business is that of comics, especially Manga in Japan.
Marvel comics have announced and launched digital editions. It is subscription based and only applies to comics that have been in hard copy for at least 6 months. The comics are viewed via browser+flash and are not available for download. They offer both annual and monthly subscription plans....

The first few times I tried it I had problems with the server failing (overloaded??) and sometimes it seems VERY slow.
So if that happens, persist and it should work.
