Minor improvements have been made in the second edition iRex Illiad eBook in this "Mid-Life Kicker" incremental release, made available September 14th.
Most important from my perspective is the extended battery life - now at 15 hours.

Notabe is that it is NOT using the new eInk VizPlex front-plane.
The terrible travel dock gets a much needed re-design although I haven't seen the new one, except in this photo:
