Epson has some more activity in e-paper area as reported by Nikkei Tech-On on May 21 2008.
Epson showcased a 13.4" e-paper display with 3104x4128 resolution (385ppi), 10:1 contrast ratio, and 40% reflectance at SID 2008 held in LA now.
Until now, the maximum size Epson has developed was 7.1".
This proto type was developed by E-Ink's electronic ink and Epson's low temp polisilicon TFT.
That looks like pretty good resolution to me, and could enable (monochrome) newspaper content full-page.
